Your business will almost certainly have the internet available for staff members to browse. While most employees will automatically understand what’s acceptable and what’s not, there are always a few who might browse inappropriate material, or browse for too long.
Business Blogs Hub has a good article on creating an acceptable use policy. It explains how the policy should include the following:
- Overview – A description of the policy from your company’s viewpoint.
- Purpose – Why the policy has been drafted and who it aims to protect.
- General Use – This is the main staple of the policy and should include acceptable and unacceptable use, copyright, confidentiality and disclosure.
- Network Use.
- Breech of terms – Outlines what might happen if the user breaks the acceptable use policy.
